Stuttering Conference

This weekend Kathy and I attended a great conference on Stuttering and Cluttering.  The premise of the conference dealt with how to address stuttering in students with other issues such as Down Syndrome or ADHD.  The conference was very useful in determining how to evaluate students to determine the nature of their "stuttering" and how to structure therapy for these specific populations.  We were able to take home several handouts that would be helpful to parents.  Please contact us if you would like to view any of them.

Welcome back to the new school year!!  I am excited to see all of our returning speech students in addition to all the new students who have joined our school!  I am very excited to announce we have hired an additional speech-language pathology assistant who will be helping to service students at our Central campus.  Her name is Jamie and she is moving to Tucson all the way from Michigan.  We are looking forward to her starting on September 13th.

This year we have approximately 120 speech students were are servicing at both the Lakeside and Central campuses.  This is about a 30% increase from last year!  We have some exciting plans for this new school year and we look forward to sharing those with you in the next several months.  If you have any questions, at any time, please feel free to contact me at 721-4205 at the Central campus or Kathy and I at 733-7373 at the Lakeside campus.
